Laura Moxley SPHR, SHRM-SCP

We value each person’s journey. We want to earn your trust through our integrity, collaboration, and servant leadership. Let us be a part of your story.
— Laura Moxley

Laura is founder of Your HR Resource, a boutique human resources and benefits consulting firm, specializing in policies & procedures, payroll processing, and benefits. Prior to starting her company, Laura served as the HR Director for a privately held company where she built the HR Department from scratch. After developing hiring and firing training and procedures, Laura’s team reduced the company’s turnover by 38%. Implementation of anti-discrimination training and workplace investigations reduced the company’s liability by over one million dollars in the first year alone; and by moving the employee benefits to a self-insured model, the company saved an additional one million dollars in just two years, allowing them to reinvest in their people.  Because humans matter.

  • With over 25 years of human resources and benefits administration experience, Laura is passionate about collaborating with businesses to develop policies and programs at the right cost structures to address the needs of employees while supporting the company’s vision and strategy through innovation.

  • Community is important to Laura. Not only is it fun and rewarding to be involved with organizations, activities, and events, Laura volunteers her time and resources for various nonprofits. Each year, a portion of revenue goes to local charitable causes.

Laura serves on the Board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Norman, the Membership Committee of the Oklahoma City HR Society and is active in the Rotary Club 29 of Oklahoma City, the Oklahoma City Chamber, and the Norman Chamber. She is a Charter Member of the Sooner Human Resource Society and she served as Director of the Oklahoma State Council for Human Resource Management, where she received the Excellence in Human Resource Management Award. Laura has also served on the State Chamber’s HR & Labor Law Committee, the Education & Workforce Development Committee, and the Governor’s Council for Workforce and Economic Development. Laura was named as one of “50 Making a Difference” by the Journal Record’s Woman of the Year program. The program recognizes Oklahoma women for leadership in business and service to their communities. She is a graduate of the Leadership Norman 2015 class and later served as Co-Chair for the program.

  • Whether it’s traveling to the beach, mountains, a resort, hiking a trail or overlanding in their Jeep Rubicon, Blackbird, Laura loves to be surrounded by friends and family and enjoys simplicity. She resides in Norman with her husband, Chris, of 34 years. They have two children, two grandchildren, and two grand dogs. They are also the happy dog parents of Gatsby, the great sock thief!

Because humans matter.
